  • Chris, from Big Bang Event Design, launched his website just yesterday and it's AWESOME! Check it out! Chris designs fabulous events and I was lucky enough to work with him at Melissa and Michael's wedding last year. I'm looking forward to many events to come. These images were taken at last weekends' Wine and Roses Decadent Affair and they are fabulous - as usual!

  • As we know NJ and John's dog Kylie is one of my favorite dogs, especially considering we're cat people. Kylie is so expressive and well mannered. She is a naturally photogenic pup. Here she is at bath time. John told her to go get in the bath because she got into some mud at the river. NJ couldn't resist grabbing the camera to capture her completely sullen look. You can see her dirt marks at the top edge of the tub.
We thought we'd throw a pic in of Maxx from that day too. He's a dog they rescued a few years ago and now lives with grandma, but still comes for long visits. Too cute! He's on his best behavior so he doesn't have to have a bath. :)

  • So for those of you that have been living under a rock...NJ is engaged! We are cataloging some of the fun tasks involved with planning the wedding, like the dessert tasting! Mmmm...

Of course NJ and John chose Carissa from Sugar and Spice and... to create their delicious dessert station for their wedding. She's also creating a small cake for them to cut as well as a surprise for their guests. NJ invited her best friend and MOH (Made of Honor), Lisa to attend the tasting with her (You might remember Lisa from her 2006 wedding - Lisa & NJ have been BFFs for 14 years!). NJ knew John would love whatever desserts they chose and Lisa is taking baking classes so these two were anxious for the tasting! They both loved it and we're loving the pics!Carissa really outdid herself, although we knew this is how she hosts all her tastings. They chose 8 fabulous petite desserts and a 1-tier cake for cutting. Here's a couple pics of what we they tried at the tasting!
Here's a precious care package that Carissa made up for John, so he wouldn't miss out! Although...shh...NJ dropped a few by my house on the way home. :)

  • I watch movies of all sorts. The Sandlot is an oldie made in 1993. A family movie. "Scotty Smalls moves to a new neighborhood with his mom and stepdad, and wants to learn to play baseball. Adventures ensue involving baseball, treehouse sleep-ins, the desirous lifeguard at the local pool, and the snooty rival ball team. Beyond the fence at the back of the sandlot menaces a legendary ball-eating dog called The Beast, and the kids inevitably must deal with him. The adventure of a lifetime, the summer of their dreams...the dog of their nightmares."They're more than a team. They're the best buddies in the entire history of the world. A piece of paradise a half block wide and a whole summer long.

  • Last weekend, somehow I was able to get Cory to watch The Other Boleyn Sister. A sensual tale of intrigue, romance and betrayal set against the backdrop of a defining moment in European history. I love historical films. These two beautiful sisters, Anne and Mary Boleyn, driven by their family's blind ambition, compete for the love of the handsome and passionate King Henry VIII. The cast couldn't have been any better: Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, and Eric Bana.
