  • Lake Natoma Inn - Folsom, California

Our experience with The Memory Journalists was exactly what I had hoped for in choosing our photographer. Jennifer and Cory are not only incredibly professional and organized (not once leaving me wondering what to expect) but also so much fun to have around!

Our wedding was both beautiful and energetic and our guests were fun and spontaneous. The Memory Journalists captured the mood of the event perfectly and truly told the story of our wonderful day. Several guests have mentioned to me how much they enjoyed viewing our photos and yet how surprised they were not to have noticed them being taken...exactly what I had hoped for!

Thank you so much for all of your hard work, Jennifer and Cory. What is left of our wedding is the memories we share and your beautiful photography!

  • I was told today that I didn't seem like a "black coffee" drinker. While every once in awhile, I will indulge in the nonfat vanilla latte or such, I drink my coffee strong and unaltered. Ideally I am an espresso girl at heart. But I guess my recent love of the color pink, and the corresponding pink shirts that I tend to wear, make me seem more of the "fufu" girl coffee drinker.

My love of the color pink has been something that has grown on me relatively recent, since as a child I hated pink. My older sister and I are less than a year apart in age, and she was dressed in pink, and I was either in blue or yellow. So blue for the longest time was my favorite color. Maybe it was the clothes I was dressed in as a child that made me into a bit of tomboy? I'd much prefer to run a mile than thread a needle - I never took home economics in high school. But by the same token, I much preferred to read a book on family camping trips than thread a worm on a fishing hook. So I guess I'm just a nice blend of tomboy and fufu girl traits. :-)

  • Folsom Wedding PhotosEven though the day's temperature cracked 100 degrees...it didn't put a damper on Melissa and Brian's wedding. This is the second wedding in a row where the bride was a classic beauty. Melissa's mom made Melissa's dress which was right up the alley of a silk Monique Lhuillier gown with a lace overdress which was pure Jenny Lee or Priscilla of Boston. Melissa's sister told me that when she got married her mom made her dress a 'la Vera Wang. I loved that Melissa gave all her sisters a locket necklace to wear; each one held multiple photos - enough for a picture of each sister.

The ceremony was held in an old catholic church in the heart of Old Folsom and is used only by request. The two ring bearers were elated to ring the church bells, signaling that a new marriage had just taken place.

In equal share to the elegance of the ceremony, the reception was a displFolsom Wedding Photosy of how much fun Melissa and Brian have with their friends and Folsom Wedding Photosfamily. It was dance off time at the wedding reception. It was one of the best receptions I'd been to in quite some time. Mike Anderson of Creative Memories Entertainment provided entertainment and DJ services and kept people on their feet dancing from the moment the first song played.

  • Joe-Lisa-Sacramento-Wedding
Cory and I just finished shooting Joe and Lisa's Sacramento wedding. It was a whirlwind of a day! We started at Lisa's childhood home, where she was getting ready with her mom and dad, and all the girls. Her dad had plantJoe-Lisa-Sacramento-Weddinged flat upon flat of flowers in their backyard in preparation for their reception. He even made lily pads that floated in their pool with candles that burned into the evening and strung lights in between trees and across the dance floor.

After the ceremonyJoe-Lisa-Sacramento-Wedding at St. Clare's church, and before arriving back at the reception, we were able to sneak a few moments alone with Joe and Lisa at a small hidden park that I had scouted out a few weeks earlier. We've known Joe and Lisa for going on 5 yearJoe-Lisa-Sacramento-Weddings now and knew that the old bridge in the park would be a perfect setting for them. Lisa has this classic Katharine Hepburn look and mannerisms about her. And Joe is just as dashing and charasmatic as Spencer Tracy.

We couldn't be happier how the day turned out. We wish them all the best!

My experience with 'The Memory Journalists' was unbelievably fantastic! Jennifer was not only very professional but also personal, enthusiastic & caring. She listened to our needs and desires of what we wanted from her. She definitely went above & beyond anything we could have asked for and helped to make our wedding day and pictures a success. We never could have found or asked for a better photographer.

She got our proofs to us almost immediately and as a bride that is not only something I wanted but also something that I don't think that many brides get. You can definitely tell that photography is her passion and that she will do anything to make your pictures spectacular. Which she does! I definitely recommend Jennifer and her company to everyone, especially if you want your photos to tell a fantastic story of the best day of your life. Thank you Jennifer. You're the best!
